The Longest Update In History

Greetings Readers,

I apologize for the EXTREME delay in posting, and I plan on making it up to you by filling you in on all the juicy tidbits and whacked out stories.  All I ask is that you bear with me, as my blogging skills have grown a bit rusty in the last six months. Let's kick it off with my engagement to my boyfriend Adrian. We met back in July via a support group for wheelchair users. He suffers from Spina Bifida but that doesn't deter him from following his dream to become well known in the music industry. The phrase "talented" doesn't begin to describe this man. His skills as a DJ are like no other, upstaged only by his compassionate nature and laid back demeanor. This man has truly stolen my heart and I am proud to call myself his better half. <3

I've also just recently completed another round of general education classes, including Sociology, which has opened my eyes to a whole new perspective on society in general. Shout out to my best friend and fellow CP warrior Jackie for putting up with the constant requests to edit my papers and deadline induced panic attacks. I swear English-111 almost killed me.

Now on to the medical updates: I'm headed back to UNC Chapel Hill to discuss tendon lengthening surgery on my left wrist. There's only a 15% chance that this surgery will give me full mobility, but that doesn't phase me. After all, some chance is better than none. I plan to schedule the surgery for late November or early December. This should give me ample time to heal before Adrian I get married in April. I promise to keep everyone updated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Until next time,

Alexis
